R4I is an Italian company specialized in the development, from scratch, of innovative hardware and software solutions to process data obtained from passive UHF RFID technology devices.
The company produces and sells smart solutions by which it is possible to univocally identify information of specific interest to the user, by excluding the unnecessary.
WHAT WE DO
To optimize the performance of systems based on RFID technology, R4I conceived a fully integrated platform, Nebula, which enables its users to manage both close and distant tagged objects.
This is an absolute innovation for the sector which made the company gain a strong competitive advantage over its competitors.
International companies, in fact, invested in R4I. Lab Id Service, a market leader in the production of RFID tags, and Datalogic SPA, a global leader in automatic data capture and process automation markets, each now hold the 20% share of the company’s equity.

Meet the minds behind Nebula
The head of the company is the RFID specialist, Pietro Carolla, who founded R4i in 2008
after years of experience as a researcher. The team is now composed of four other IT engineers and developers.
